Senators represent the whole Island. Four seats are available in the 2011 elections, for which there are 13 candidates:

Deputies are elected in 17 districts which correspond to district boundaries. Larger districtes, such as St Helier and St Brelade, are divided up into more than one district to make sure the population is represented.
