Pride Of Jersey Winners Announced
Islanders from all walks of life have been honoured as being the Pride of Jersey at a special awards ceremony.
Twelve picked up prizes in an event at Government House, organised by the Jersey Evening Post.
From hundreds of nominations to the paper, selected finalists were invited to the Lieutenant Governor’s home – where winners were announced by Graeme Le Saux and Nerina Pallot.
Among those honoured, Samares School Headteacher Andrew Willis was named Inspirational Leader of the Year.
‘Kindness Day’ Planned For Jersey

Kindness Connects is holding ‘Kindness Day’ in Jersey on September 24th.
Founder Brian Clarke says the aim is to make other people feel good without expecting a reward:
“The way we change society is by deliberate acts of kindness, not just the occasional ones.

Hospice Community Choir Seeks Volunteers
Music lovers throughout the island are invited to join a new community choir being put together by Jersey Hospice Care.
The charity is looking for volunteers to put the project together, and islanders of all skills and abilities are being asked to contribute.
Physiotherapist Cirsty de Gruchy Wilson – who is helping to organise the new choir – says it’s an exciting prospect:
“Being in a group really does have a positive impact on people’s well-being.
