CI Pride Begins In Guernsey

This year’s Channel Islands Pride has kicked off in style!
Rainbows and celebrations flooded St Peter Port to mark Guernsey’s first pride.
Thousands paraded from the island’s Candie Gardens to Market Square to celebrate equality and inclusion.
A number of companies and charities were also there – with stalls and items on offer.
Jersey Sailor Back At Sea
A Jersey sailor who has crossed the Atlantic singlehandedly is back on the water this weekend.
Phil Sharp is taking part in the final event of the 2016 Class 40 Championship, as the Normandy Channel race begins today.
The race starts and ends in Caen – and will see 30 boats navigating a course around the Channel Islands – and then heading towards the south coast of Ireland.
Phil says the location – in some of the most difficult tidal waters in the world – means the race is very technical:
